On March 23, 2024, MWEG hosted our spring conference — "Rise Up, Rise Above: The Power of Peace to Transform Our Politics and Preserve Our Democracy." Speakers included Danielle Coke Balfour, Melissa Inouye, Julie Rose, Carlee Rose, and Zakiya Jackson, who discussed topics like peace, navigating conflict, nonviolent actions for building democracy, and electoral reform.
