Nori Gomez de Bybee

Noriadnys (Nori) Gomez de Bybee is an advocate for immigrant communities and has a background in sociology, immigration, and civil rights. A 2023 graduate of BYU, Nori also co-organized Utah with All Immigrants, a community advocacy group dedicated to fostering solidarity and support for immigrants and refugees across the state. Since graduating, she has also worked in immigration law and for the state of Utah, gaining firsthand experience in policy and legal frameworks affecting immigrants and other vulnerable communities. After initially coming to know and love MWEG as a student intern and volunteer on the Shoulder to Shoulder committee, Nori currently works as MWEG’s immigrant community coordinator, where she helps members come together to learn how they can better love and uplift their immigrant and refugee neighbors. Now preparing to pursue graduate studies this fall, Nori brings deep empathy to her work, which is shaped by her own experiences as a former undocumented immigrant and now a naturalized U.S. citizen.
